Still Life

The paintings that Garry classifies as still life are mostly of pot plants or groups of pot plants and the occasional zoomed in piece of garden bed. Like the landscapes, they reflect his interest in the natural world. The difference is intimacy; there is always a distance between a landscape and the viewer, whereas this is not so much the case with still life. When he paints a still life Garry focuses on the sensuality he finds in the colour of flowers.
